Oh my god, It's so BIG!

We have a lot of data here at Digital Desire. Recently we've been rethinking our storage options and tallying up the amount of data we have stored, and have come up with some rather staggering numbers. We actually have about 25 Terabytes of data. To give you an idea of how much space that is, every piece of data on our website only adds up to about 400 Gigabytes. So if you had every single photo and video on our website, in every resolution and format, you'd only have one 63rd of that total amount.

Part of the reason this gap is so large is that we take great care to preserve our original master files to ensure the final product on the site is as pristine and clear as possible. Our videos are shot in true HD, and the elementary streams, straight off the camera, are archived, along with high quality, wavelet compressed versions of the edits.

With this on my mind I've selected a couple of what are, in my mind, the best produced images on the site. These are images that are not only striking because they are beautiful, but showcases of the detailed work we put into every image.
